Biography

“Since childhood, painting has been one of my favorite creative activities along with drawing and writing.

Although not having gone through a formal training in Fine Arts, I was keen on attending drawing lessons when in college. After university, I am a PhD clinical psychologist, and years of intensive practice, I renewed with my leisurely painting activity while on “spared” times and under the creative influence of propicious surroundings.

In painting I have found a way to escape day-to-day rituals, sublimate ennui to enter the world of mostly elegant shapes I perceive or create and an extraordinary panel of colors from the brightest to the most inconspicuous and fragile.

My subjects of visual exploration are mostly found in the marvellous Nature which surrounds us : a flower, an animal, a landscape or the extraordinary view of the ocean at large lost in the horizon, a magnificent sky burning under the sun or the intense life as found in the Cosmos. At other times, I find great pleasure to let imagination revisite reality, sublimating it, while entering dreams and abstraction.

Acrilyc is my medium of choice for its colors, texture, orginality and simplicity. Although gouache is a pleasant medium, it is a bit too capricious. I use all supports I fancy : canvas, wood, stones.

Over the years, I have participated in group exhibitions with “Société des Artistes Indépendants” (Paris) of whom I am a member, at Art Capital (Grand Palais, Paris), Art Shopping (Carrousel du Louvre, Paris). I also participated in other group exhibitions in Bruxelles, New York, Evian, Deauville, Cannes and Bourges (France).”
